The Clown Way!

Putting together a Toy Company from a semi annual camping trip is not the typical start-up you hear about. But nothing about Four Clowns Game and Toy company is Conventional. We are different (in a good way not a strange way) We are all friends that have known each other in one way or another for over 30 years.
Todd, Steve Larry and Jim are your average Joes ( not like Dodgeball there is no pirate in our group though I do like the Captain Argggg!) that like to have fun and enjoy life.

When we started approx. 2 years ago we did not have 1 iota of toy manufacturing experience. We just like to play games and have fun. No one is a Steve Jobs computer wiz. No one was born with a Paris Hilton spoon in there mouth. We created something special something that transcends traditional board Games something that (in this I want it now world) is easy, fast, fun and can be played socially with my friends on my most prized possession Smartphone. Put it in your pocket and be an instant hit at the party, Pub, family gatherings, roadtrips and (yes) airports!

Codigo Cube trivia was born! A QR code 1 inch dice that when scanned with the camera on your smartphone takes you to the steroid infused trivia wonderland called Codigo Cube Trivia! http://Codigocube.com

Dangerous but FUN toys!

When you were a kid growing up whether it be the 40's 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's or 00's you most likely had a favorite toy that you played with until you broke or wore it out. It seemed to me the more dangerous the more fun I had with it.

In the 60's and early 70's I had 3 Favorites toys:
 Clackers

The principle of these toys was to have fun not child safety. Clackers were hours of fun until your wrist/forearm got so bruised from the ceramic or glass balls smacking you. You could also lose and eye from it shattering and the third use was as a weapon. As an enemy was running away from you, you would sling it at there legs tripping them up so you could catch up to them. I had seen that these are still available in Rocky Point Mexico from vendors....I was tempted but knowing my kids they were not purchased.

Kenners SSP

Not as dangerous but not quite as fun was the SSP. These were durable race rockets! When you inserted the tined plastic rip cord beside the wheel you ripped it out as fast as you could. Racing buddies down the sidewalk, street and across porches in Dayton Ohio was a mainstay of weekends with this toy. The main injuries sustained were pinched skin ,severe skin burns when your hand was too close ripping out the cord as fast as you could and the occasional cord whip to your buddy when he got under your skin.

the Big Wheel
Nothing said more fun than having 2 of the Original Big Wheels, a down hill sidewalk and friends Racing, Crashing, Jumping,no helmets and no brakes. How did we survive? Just youthful bliss!  I'm sure there are more stories out there let me know. What was your fun dangerous toy you played with growing up? AHHHH Memories.

How does an Game Idea Generate Money to Become a reality?

Every day new ideas are generated and products come out on the market. How do they get there? How do they become a reality? How are they funded?

From the idea, to paper, to artwork, to patent work, to trademarks to prototype, to cost analysis, to price points, to manufacturers, to licensing, to distributing, to business models, to business plans, to trial and error, to websites, to advertising,to shipping, to wearhousing and all the millions of minute details in between all take money prior to the first dollar being generated.

One way that we are trying to make that happen with our Codigo Cube Trivia games is to get start up funding through out Kicktarter Project.

What this does is enable people that are interested in your ideas to back them with Money and in turn when/if the project reaches it's projected goal (Our current goal is $3,000 y Feb. 3) then those funds will be given to the idea creators. the backers of the projects then in turn will receive fantastic prizes based on the pledge levels they have backed. It is a great way to get your project off the ground as well as the players of your games to get there hands on the first runs of the games themselves.  If the pledge goal is not reached then the backers funds will not be charged, No game is created and you start from scratch again to try and create another idea that appeals to people that would be willing to back it.

It is a time sensitive pulse on what you think people would like and what consumers are willing to spend money on. A true capitalistic endevoure to undertake. So if you like trivia and role playing games please help us bring Codigo RPG Fantasy to the masses and Back our project today! Thank you for playing Codigo Cube Trivia...Jim

Family Game Time Fading?

When you talk about games today people talk about playing on line with the X-Box, Wii or through social media. Fading are the days when families get together around the kitchen table or front room floor and break out the Yahtzee game and spent hours together talking and bonding. Social Media, Video game consoles and Smartphones have consumed the space that was once considered Family time. It has become an individualistic me time rather than a physical bonding interaction. Four Clowns Game and Toy Co. is trying to change all of that with Codigo Cube Trivia. Codigo Cube Trivia is a physical game piece die that is QR Code enabled that when scanned with the camera on your smartphone creates Family fun for all to play.
http://youtu.be/blX-kO9aLn8

This is like a traditional board game in that it is meant to be played in a group of people such as at a party or at the pub. The biggest difference is that the questions are delivered to you on your Smartphone or Smart device such as an iTouch or iPad.
Each side of the cube has it's own unique QR code and each code represents a unique trivia category such as sports, science, geography, history and more.
The object of the game is to be the first player to answer a question correctly from every category.

This is truly a future family interactive game available today!
